Essential Functions

• Research and test the accuracy and quality of new geospatial data sources for inclusion in an agricultural monitoring web platform and ad hoc geospatial analysis products
• Plan and operate drone missions for business operations and monitor drone status and perform any maintenance required
• Conduct geospatial analysis and modeling in support of agricultural monitoring tasks
• Develop a geospatial automation pipeline for agricultural monitoring frameworks
• Create and update metadata, and establish geodatabase
• Develop SOP for standardization of geospatial data
Implement QA/QC on vector files
• Translate analysis results into reports, slides and developer workflows
• Establish new workflow based on data, analysis, developer and end-user requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Degree in Remote Sensing, Geoinformatics, Geomatics, Computer Science or related discipline. •Candidates with knowledge in agronomy/plant and soil science will be an advantage
• Proficient in image processing software such as Erdas Imagine / ENVI to conduct pre-processing and classification and / or GIS software such as ESRI ArcGIS Suite, and QGIS for cartography and spatial analysis
• Proficient with MODIS, Landsat, ALOS PALSAR, and other satellite / UAV imagery products
GDAL and Python knowledge is a plus
• Excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork, resourceful and posses strong analytical skills
• Experience in collaborative research and thriving in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
• Good communication and written in English
• Willing to travel
