Heavy snow swept through most parts of central China’s Hunan Province on Monday. To ensure power supply amid extreme weather, a drone and a smart deicing robot were adopted in the maintenance work.
The drone, acting as a transporter, accurately placed the robot on the power line. It then took only about 5 minutes for the robot to remove the ice on a section of power line that is over 200 meters long. Xinhua News Agency correspondents reporting from Changsha, China.(XHTV)
