The ideal candidate will design, build, troubleshoot and deploy Embedded Solutions in our sate of art Robotics laboratory as part of the company’s rapidly expanding technological integrated infrastructure. The candidate will work alongside other ground level engineers & Aerial Drone Pilot to ensure highest levels of precise autonomous solutions are built to cater the market the needs.

Passionate and knowledgeable individual who has good experience and exposure with prior project hands on experience using below skills – worked on Automation projects

Responsibilities

• Manage the tools, equipment’s, & the laboratory
• Assembling, Building & Troubleshooting Mechanized vehicles to run autonomously or through remote mechanism
• Identify and report the right fit in inventory for the assigned projects
• A good team player

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechatronics with working knowledge on Automation
• Experience in configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting systems
• Strong technical skills & profound knowledge on embedded systems, PLC’s, Motor Drivers, ECU, Sensor driven programming and Power Distribution
• Experience working on ArduPilot is a must
• Arduino/Raspberry pi/Jetson nano Chip based programming/configurations
• Good communication skills (English, Bahasa Melayu & Mandarin is an added advantage)

Location: Johore, Malaysia

We are looking for a high-energy individual with drive and passion for helping people. The candidate will operate UAS in field operations, be an expert in various UAS types, maintain the UAS hardware and systems, and contribute to UAS hardware development projects with the Singapore engineering team.

The individual should have excellent UAV piloting skills, be comfortable to oversee UAV deployments by our partners, be able to confidently lead deployments, and possess good communication and people skills.

To be successful the candidate must be prepared for a steep learning curve of self-development to upskill him/herself to our high standards of operational excellence to become an expert UAS pilot. For the first few months of the job the candidate will be expected to travel to and work closely with our Singapore office (Garuda Robotics Pte Ltd).

Responsibilities

– Pilot UAVs for data capture, delivery, spraying, and other use-cases

– Learn and become an expert in various UAV types

– Oversee and coordinate UAV deployments by partners

– Assist in conducting pilot training theory and practical classes

– Assist in documenting and reporting on trainees’ progress

– Ensure operational readiness of equipment

– Assist in maintaining UAS hardware, workshop and specialised tools

– Work with the R&D team as needed to improve hardware/software products and services

Requirements

– RCoC-B certification (Preferred)

– Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechatronics or other relevant engineering diploma or equivalent experience

– Proficient in flying UAS in Atti Mode

– Good interpersonal and presentation skills

– Willing and able to adapt to change and operate in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment

– Prior experience with quadcopters, RC helicopters, VTOLs and fixed wing UAS would be a plus

– Prior experience flying sprayer drones would be a big advantage

– Candidates based in or willing to relocate to Johor Bahru will be prioritised
