Aarav Unmanned Systems (AUS), a Bangalore-based Commercial Drone Technology startup, was the first in India to build and operate fully autonomous PPK GPS-based survey drones. It also offers GIS surveying/mapping, industrial inspection, and precision agriculture businesses not just speedier but also more cost-effective UAV-based land surveying solutions. Vipul Singh, CEO of Aarav Unmanned Systems (AUS), shares his insights.

The Role of Automation and Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence is already playing a significant role (AI). Drones are on their way to being employed in every corner of India for basic use cases such as agriculture, infrastructure development in rural areas, and so on. Automation is critical for scaling, reliability, and security in these activities.

To lessen their reliance on people, drones must be made smarter and more sophisticated. In the coming years, adapting drone technology to unique use cases and requirements will become vertical-specific competencies. Only AI, machine learning, or deep learning and automation can fine-tune, learn, improve, and adapt these skills.

Drones will collect vast volumes of data, and AI and automation will play an important role in extracting value from these sets.

Drones in Urban development

Drones can collect data with a 3 cm resolution and a 10 cm accuracy, however the satellite data currently accessible only has a 50 cm resolution. With measurements, colours, and texture details, you can almost construct a 3D twin of a metropolis. These models can be used to analyse traffic flows, future infrastructure expansion, important utilities, and permitted and unauthorised construction tracking, among other things. Floods, rain, traffic, huge trucks, and disaster scenarios can all be simulated. This makes city expansion more manageable.

You can also simulate various future situations in order to make your city more resilient. We may use the drone data and analysis we provide to help design macro and micro-projects with the least amount of deviation, damage, and disruption in the city.

It also accommodates cities that are more energy efficient and self-sufficient in some places. Consider all the options. You can plan and execute the project in great detail and quickly if you know every area of the city, including every small alley and every house.

Drones for Construction

Construction projects can be made more time and cost effective. Because of insufficient or poor surveys, road construction is delayed. Some important conditions aspects may be overlooked for a variety of reasons, including human limits, changing conditions by the time surveying is completed, and so on.

These issues cause delays when they are discovered during construction. We are removing these scenarios with drone technology. In terms of a project, as said in the preceding question, the impact that we have is multi-dimensional. Additionally, the information provided by drones can be used for road maintenance.
