In conjunction with the third installation of the Global Drone Conference & Exhibition 2022 held at the MATRADE Exhibition and Convention Center (MECC) Kuala Lumpur between 19-21 October, the show’s Platinum Sponsor, Malvus Sense Sdn Bhd, took the opportunity to showcase their latest unique and innovative products and services.
An industry leader for drone-based precision mapping, intelligence surveillance as well as assembly and maintenance of drones or UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle), Malvus Sense’s state of the art machine capabilities and innovativeness complex activities like precision laser and magnetic mapping were introduced to the show’s participants and visitors.
At the exhibition, Malvus Sense also showcased the latest medium format UAS camera The PHASEONE IXM- Series. It is a high productivity matrix camera with high resolution for the purpose of inspection,
surveillance and mapping.
This year’s Global Drone Conference & Exhibition was proudly officiated by YB Dato Sri Dr Adham Baba, Caretaker Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation.
During the exhibition, Malvus Sense launched an aviation grade drone insurance plan for drone and drone operations including third party liability coverage making it the first such insurance in Malaysia.

Known as ‘Onedrone Insurance’, the policy offers complete protection that covers all aspects of drone ownership and operation namely Comprehensive Protection (missing, theft or damage) of Aircraft’s Hull and Parts during safekeeping or while flying in the air, third-party liability, mishandling or pilot error as well as ‘Fly Away” incidents.
“This is our third participation in the Global Drone Conference & Exhibition, following our previous forays in 2019 and 2020 just before the pandemic.

This exhibition is an effective marketing platform for us to promote our unique and innovative products, at the same time allowing us to demonstrate our capabilities and potential to customers and investors,” said the Director of Malvus Sense, Syed Omar bin Syed Mohammad.
“This event has been successful in attracting the interest and participation of industry leaders from various sectors, thus becoming a catalyst for the successful transformation of our country into a digitally-driven, high-income nation,” he added.
Additionally, a sharing session was also organised by Malvus Sense alongside their strategic partner, Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UNIMAP) where a research piece titled “Performance Upscaling for Commercialisation of Radio Frequency Module (RFM) and Payload of an Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) for Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS)” was presented.
The research was done with the aspiration of providing BVLOS capability that adhere to the standards set by Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) particularly for UAV operations under the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) and the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF).
